Lake Michigan waves crashing into the north pier of the White Lake Channel near Montague, Michigan is my Ooh, Shiny! entry for the WordPress weekly photo challenge.
Jess, do you sell any of your photography? I would like to purchase “Winds of August on Lake Michigan” if possible, and enlarge it and have it framed to hang on our wall. I live just a mile north of the channel and have occasionally seen that beautiful green color that you have captured so beautifully!
Claire, Yes I do sell my photography. Please e-mail at merrill.jess@gmail.com. Sorry it took me so long to respond, this is an old post and I didn’t notice your comment until this morning.
Okay this has just become incredible – I thought this was the ocean but I guess with lake Michigan it must be not the sea. Do you have surfer competitions 🙂

Jess,
Great photo of our very own inland sea.
The word is that if you can sail Lake Michigan, you can sail any body of water.
I should copy it, frame it and put it up in our Phoenix condo as a reminder of home.

Beautiful shot! It’s incredible to me that this is a lake … it looks just like the ocean.
