Sunrise This Morning

I had the awesome experience of watching the sunrise over two different lakes this morning, June 7, 2017. We put the boat in at the western end of White Lake where I took the first photo, and then motored out to Lake Michigan where I caught a different view about 20 minutes later. I’m liking this smart-phone camera more every time I use it.

To make the day even better, we caught two King Salmon, which equaled our catch for the entire season last year.

Windy Winter Day – Gulf Shores, Alabama

Surf at Gulf Shores, AlabamaWaves on the Gulf were 5 to 6 feet high with 20 m.p.h. winds following a very stormy night in late January. The photo was taken with my cell phone from the beach in front of the Sea-n-Suds Restaurant where we had breakfast.

Holy Place

Duck Lake, Muskegon County, Michigan, USA

With barely a hint of breeze and quiet – so quiet, you could hear normal speaking voices from shore. The combination of sound, soft light and stillness in the air made me feel as if Duck Lake, this morning, was a most holy place. On the other hand, the fish weren’t biting and I still haven’t won the lottery. So, just what does happen in holy places anyway?

Artist gets “touched-up” by his own Illustration

StreetArt-001

Three Mexican artists demonstrated their skills in Mission, Texas last February 14 on the street outside the Mission Historical Museum. Unfortunately, the spectacular chalk sketches lasted only a few days before being worn away by wind and traffic.
